JOB OPPORTUNITY – INDEPENDENT MEDICAL EVALUATIONS AND CHART REVIEWS - ARIZONA, TEXAS, OHIO, KENTUCKY, AND WEST VIRGINIA

Martin & Tipton, Inc. is a nationally recognized multi-specialty medical group providing independent medical evaluations and chart review services.

M&T is currently seeking board certified/eligible specialists in orthopedic surgery to provide part-time coverage for independent medical evaluations and chart reviews in Arizona, Texas, Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia.

What is an Independent Medical Evaluation (IME)?

An IME is an objective medical evaluation conducted by an independent, qualified medical specialist for the purpose of clarifying an individual’s medical and disability status. IMEs are one-time evaluations limited in scope to specific conditions and issues, and no patient-provider relationship is established. The IME process consists of an evaluation, review of medical records, and production of a narrative report. The narrative report provides a summary of the IME physician’s findings and responses to questions posed by the scheduling party.

What resources are provided for M&T Physicians?

M&T provides all consulting physicians with the following resources:

  • IME and Chart Review Referrals
  • Clinic Space and Administrative Staffing
  • Malpractice Coverage
  • Dictation System for Report Processing
  • Electronic Medical Records Platform with Remote Accessibility
  • Sorted Medical Records with Hyperlinked Chronological Summaries
  • IME Training Programs and Resource Materials
  • Flexible Scheduling of IME Clinics (Monday through Saturday access available)
  • Prompt Bi-Weekly Payments for Completed IMEs or Reviews

Where do you have IME coverage opportunities available?

M&T is now offering IME coverage opportunities in Arizona and Texas.

The group also offers ongoing opportunities in its Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia locations.

I am interested in staffing IME clinics with M&T but reside out of state. Do you assist physicians in obtaining licensure or provide reimbursement for travel expenses?

Yes. We provide financial and administrative assistance in obtaining medical licensure for IME clinic coverage. We also provide reimbursement for travel expenses including flights, hotels/lodging, and car rentals.

I am scheduled to be deployed soon. Do you offer remote working opportunities?

Yes. We provide opportunities for chart reviews which can be done remotely. We have extensive experience working with military physicians and offer a flexible format for active-duty members to continue working with us during their deployment.

Do you provide training resources and support for new IME physicians?

Yes. M&T provides hands-on training and access to IME training programs. We have a dedicated team of nurses and quality assurance staff that routinely provide feedback and coaching for IME report writing.

Do you require physicians to be board certified to be eligible for IME referrals?

No. We accept both board certified and board eligible candidates in many of our programs.

How do I apply for M&T’s IME and chart review programs? What’s the next step?
